The 2023 Lampo Trophy – Nation Cup, a prestigious international under-12 tennis competition, took place in Brescia from 3 to 9 July.

In the men’s tournament, South Korea won the title by beating the Italian team “Centro Nord” in the final with a clear 2-0. In the singles, Kim Siyun prevailed over Emanuele Pilotto by 6-2 6-0, while Jang Junseo overcame Alessandro Fronza with a score of 7-5 6-0.

As for the women’s tournament, the Israeli team triumphed, returning to success after ten years. In the final, the Israelis faced South Korea again, repeating the victory obtained in the group stage. Daniel Baranes defeated Kim Yungha 6-3 7-5, while Lee Yerin leveled the scores by beating Ofir Manhard 6-3 6-4. The decisive doubles was won by the Israeli pair Baranes/Blustein with a convincing 6-2 6-3 over Yungha/Yerin.

The 2023 edition confirmed the high level of the competition, with young talents from different nations competing on the clay courts of the Tennis Club Spalto San Marco in Brescia. The tournament director, Gianni Capacchietti, expressed satisfaction for the success of the event, underlining the importance of the patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, as a testimony to the prestige achieved by the event.
